Mash · Boil · Ferment · Package

Heavy machinery for your next brew.

BrewDozer takes a recipe from grain bill to glass: design against BJCP style ranges, run brew day with timers and exact water volumes, watch fermentation live, and let it keep count of your grain, hops, and money. Made by brewers, for brewers — and free, all of it.

Why BrewDozer is free

No small print

Free means free.

Every feature on this page, for every brewer, from the first batch. No pro tier holding the good tools hostage, no ten-recipe cap, no trial clock, no card on file, no ads. Open the app and brew.

By brewers, for brewers.

BrewDozer is engineered in Estonia by people who mash in on weekends. Every feature earns its place on a real brew day — if it doesn't help make better beer, it doesn't ship.

Brewing fanatics, listening.

We're not a startup that happens to sell brewing software — we're brewers who got obsessed with building the tool we always wanted. Our goal is simple: the best brewing app on the market, full stop. Every piece of feedback gets read and taken seriously, and the fixes and features you ask for land fast — often in days, not roadmap quarters. Tell us what your brew day needs; you'll watch it show up.

Kitchen to taproom.

Sized for homebrewers and small breweries alike. Brew one batch at a time on a Grainfather, or run the whole operation on it — lot-tracked inventory, batch costs, and one shopping list across everything you plan to brew.

The rig

What it hauls.

One app for the whole run — the parts talk to each other, so the recipe plans the water, the brew day drains the inventory, and the batch remembers everything.

Recipe wizard

Start with a style, not a blank page.

Pick one of 18 built-in styles and your batch size, and the wizard builds a complete, in-style recipe — grain bill, timed hop schedule, yeast, and mash and fermentation schedules — with every amount solved to land inside the BJCP ranges. It spells out the why at each step, offers classic or character variants for the grist, hops, and yeast, and leans on what's already in your stock. Every suggestion stays editable, and the live style check keeps you honest.

Recipes

A designer with live numbers.

OG, FG, ABV, IBU, and SRM recalculate against BJCP style ranges with every ingredient you touch — you see the beer drift in or out of style as you build the grain bill. Mash and fermentation schedules, a mash & sparge water plan per recipe, and full water chemistry: set a target profile and it works out the salt additions to hit it, with a live mash-pH estimate that reads your grain color and acid malt.

Import & iterate

Bring your recipes. Brew them better.

Import everything you've built in Brewfather, BeerSmith, or anywhere else that speaks BeerXML or BeerJSON — no retyping. Then iterate: scale a recipe to any batch size, duplicate it to tinker, and edit without fear — your editing sessions are checkpointed automatically, and versions you name are kept for good. Compare any version against your current draft and roll back when v3 turns out worse than v2.

Brew day

A checklist that knows your volumes.

Step-by-step through mash, boil, and chill with timers and water additions calculated from your recipe and your kettle — no math with wet hands. When a hop in your stock isn't the alpha acid the recipe assumed, it tells you the grams to actually weigh so the bitterness still lands. Log measured values as you hit them, then package the batch.

Fermentation

Watch it work from the couch.

Gravity and temperature stream in from your hydrometer and draw themselves live — a chart per batch, updating as it ferments. Alerts by e-mail when a fermentation stalls or runs hot.

Batch 042 — day 9 Live

Inventory

Stock that counts itself.

Ingredients live in dated lots and brew day consumes them oldest-first, automatically. See needed-vs-stock for any recipe, price a batch from what it actually used, and build one shopping list across everything you plan to brew. It nags so you don't have to check: best-before warnings before a lot goes stale, low-stock flags when hops dip under your reorder line.

Community

Brewers who've been there.

Every brewer hits a stuck ferment, an over-bittered IPA, a first perfect pour. Share yours. Publish a recipe and watch it earn its numbers — brewed, cloned, and rated by real brewers. Ask the Q&A forum when a batch goes sideways, and mark the answer that saved it so the next brewer finds the fix faster. Follow brewers you trust and your feed is their brews, questions, and wins — newest first, no algorithm. And when a thread deserves more than a comment, direct messages take it brewer-to-brewer.

Calendar

Brew days on a month grid, each linked to its batch.

Equipment

Presets for Grainfather, BrewZilla, Brewtools, Anvil Foundry, Braumeister, Brewiks — or profile your own rig.

Share links

Any recipe as a private read-only link — no account needed to view, one click to clone.

Exports

BeerXML, BeerJSON, PDF — recipes in and out, brew sheets and lists on paper.

Re-brew

Nailed it? One click clones the batch for the next brew day — the recipe frozen as you brewed it.

Help center

Guides for every page, written for brewers — one tap on the “?” next to the thing you're stuck on.

Glovebox

The calculator suite.

Twenty-five calculators — every number a brew day asks for, in one place. No more seven browser tabs and a laminated cheat sheet. Every field carries plain-language help, so you learn the why, not just the number — and the math runs deep: the IBU even accounts for whether your hops are pellets or whole leaf, and the mash-pH predictor reads your grist and water. Worth keeping? Pin a result straight onto the batch you're brewing.

Straight answers

Fair questions.

Is it really free? Everything?

Yes. Every feature on this page, with no recipe caps, no trial clock, no ads, and no premium tier to upsell you to. The login asks for your e-mail and nothing else — there's no billing page in the app because there's nothing to bill.

So what's the catch?

There isn't one. BrewDozer is designed and engineered in Estonia by brewers who wanted this app to exist. If that ever changes, what's free today stays free — and your data exports in open formats either way.

Can I get my data out?

Any time, in formats other software reads: recipes as BeerXML, BeerJSON, or PDF; brew-day sheets, shopping lists, stock-takes, and calendar months as PDF or CSV. No export paywall, no lock-in.

What hardware can feed the fermentation charts?

Anything that can post a Brewfather-style JSON payload to a URL: iSpindel natively, Tilt through a bridge (Tilt Pi, BrewPi, etc.), or your own rig. Each batch gets its own stream token, readings appear live, and alerts go out when fermentation stalls or runs hot.

Is there a mobile app?

BrewDozer runs in the browser, phone included — the layout adapts and nothing needs installing. An offline mode for cellar-dwelling brew days is on the roadmap.

A batch is doing something weird — who do I ask?

Start with the built-in Help Center — every page has a “?” that opens a plain-language guide for exactly that screen. For the properly weird stuff, the community Q&A forum: post it with your numbers, and brewers who've hit the same wall answer — the fix that worked gets marked accepted, so the next brewer with a stuck ferment finds it in seconds. Wins are welcome too: a first perfect pour deserves an audience that gets it.
