These terms are the deal between you and BrewDozer ("we", "us") when you use the app at app.brewdozer.com and this website. They're written to be read — no tricks buried in clause 47. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. What BrewDozer is

BrewDozer is a web app for homebrewers and small breweries: recipe design, brew-day guidance, fermentation tracking, inventory, and calculators. It's provided free of charge — no tiers, no recipe caps, no ads. If we ever introduce paid options, what's free today stays free.

2. Your account

You sign in with your e-mail address and a one-time code — there's no password. Keep control of your inbox: anyone who can read your e-mail can enter your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old — and old enough to legally brew at home where you live, if that bar is higher.

3. Your content stays yours

Recipes, batches, notes, readings, and everything else you put into BrewDozer belongs to you. You give us permission to store, process, and display it — only as needed to run the service for you. You can export it any time in open formats (BeerXML, BeerJSON, PDF, CSV) and take it elsewhere.

Publishing a recipe to the community is your choice, per recipe. A published recipe is visible to other users under your profile name, and they may view and brew from it. You can unpublish a recipe whenever you like; ratings and comments others left while it was public may be removed along with it.

4. Playing fair

When using BrewDozer, don't:

• post content that's unlawful, hateful, or spam — the community is for beer talk;
• impersonate other people or misrepresent recipes as someone else's work;
• probe, overload, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the service or other people's data;
• use the service to send unsolicited messages of any kind.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. We'd rather not — don't make it interesting.

5. Devices and streamed data

You can point hydrometers and similar devices at BrewDozer to stream readings into a batch. The devices, their safety, and what they send are your responsibility; the readings are treated as your content.

6. Brewing is on you

Calculators, estimates, and targets in BrewDozer are guides, not guarantees. Brewing involves hot liquids, pressurised vessels, sanitation, and — where you package it — alcohol. Follow safe practice and local law; we're not responsible for your brew day, your cellar, or the beer that comes out of it. (We do hope it's excellent.)

7. The service, as it is

BrewDozer is provided "as is", without warranties of availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep it up, fast, and backed up, but interruptions, changes, and the occasional bug happen. Keep exports of data you can't afford to lose.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for anything arising from the service is capped at the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months — which, for a free service, is zero.

8. Ending things

You can stop using BrewDozer whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it — see the privacy policy for how. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with export of your data still available unless the law says otherwise.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app or by e-mail before it takes effect. The date at the top always tells you when they were last revised. Using the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.

10. The formal bits

These terms are governed by European Union law, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
